Here is my interview with the fabulous and frisky queer lady website Autostraddle. In reading it, I noticed that it sounded like I was gushing about EVERYTHING OMG ALL THE TIME which may in fact be true, because … the interview took place eight days before my deadline and my brain was on FULL SPEED AHEAD. Also, I admit I may have misspoken in the interview. If you read it and think that Adaptation is a hot steamy read of smexy smexiness, well, I may have been revising one of those scenes (from the sequel!) the day of the interview. There is smexiness in Adaptation, but … it is still YA. So if y’all were hoping I’d suddenly turned into Sarah Waters circa Tipping the Velvet (sometimes I hope this myself), you may be disappointed.
BUT there will be OTHER books ahead …
